At Eagle Converting, we custom print on both reinforced and non-reinforced water activated tape (WAT). These are stronger based tapes, similar to what you see on your Amazon packages. The non-reinforced is lighter duty and often referred to as gummed tape. The reinforced has fiberglass strings embedded to provide additional strength. In both applications, the adhesive is dry and, as the name states, needs water to activate it so it may be applied to your boxes. This can be achieved using a sponge, tabletop manual or automatic dispenser, or fully automated case sealer system. Because our WATs are produced from paper and utilize a robust adhesive, they are able to form a nearly impregnable bond with your shipping boxes, thus allowing for extra security and protection during transit and handling.
